The partnership aims to offer individual investors access to investment products traditionally reserved for institutional and high-net-worth investors, the companies said in a press release. Republic will leverage BitGo’s infrastructure to strengthen its blockchain-powered investment ecosystem, bringing private market investments on-chain for ordinary investors. That includes the Hamilton Lane Private Infrastructure Fund, which Republic recently added to its platform. By tokenizing HLPIF, Republic is offering on-chain access to an asset class that was previously limited to traditional investors.
