SEC Approves ETH ETF Options, DOGE ETF in the Works

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved options for spot ETH ETFs offered by major firms like BlackRock and Fidelity. These options allow investors to better manage risk and make informed decisions in different market conditions. This follows a similar approval for Bitcoin ETF options last October, which boosted market activity and price transparency. With these new approvals, 2025 could bring a wave of crypto-related investment products. Despite the lower volume, ETH recorded slightly higher long liquidations than BTC. Both markets are showing nearly balanced long/short ratios, reflecting uncertainty among traders. Notably, ETH futures showed a negative funding rate, contrasting BTC's slightly positive rate, pointing to more bearish sentiment in the ETH market.
