Around 25,000 people attended ETHDenver 2025 from February 23 to March 2, gathering in Colorado for a developer-focused event that included policymakers, industry leaders, and technical discussions.

The annual Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH) event, launched in 2017, began with its traditional BUIDLWeek, offering technical presentations, boot camps, and networking opportunities.

While some attendees noted concerns over declining token prices, the general sentiment remained optimistic.

Colorado Governor Jared Polis spoke at the event's opening on February 27, joking about arranging the unseasonably warm weather.

Polis highlighted Colorado’s role in crypto adoption, noting that the state allows tax payments in cryptocurrency and digital identification cards for certain cases.

“We are central, easy to get to, fun, and we are a center of innovation,” said Polis.

The event also featured a stage dedicated to policy discussions on February 28, addressing issues such as regulatory challenges and crypto’s role in banking.

John Paller, ETHDenver’s founder, stated that the conference was unlikely to move to another state, citing high attendance and ongoing interest in Colorado.

The SEC’s decision on February 27 to drop an enforcement action against Consensys was a topic of discussion.

“Like many others in the community, we’ve been unshackled recently,” said Consensys CEO Joe Lubin.

“The attacks of the former SEC are behind us, and we are excited to step up and resume our loud and active advocacy for Ethereum,” he added.

Bo Hines, executive director of Donald Trump’s crypto working group, canceled his scheduled ETHDenver appearance on the same day he was set to speak.

He will instead be administering a White House crypto summit on March 7, where industry leaders are expected to attend.

At the time of reporting, the Ethereum (ETH) price was $2,295.19.
