When you look at the $ETH chart (below) you see a preview of what's coming to ICM projects. $ETH is showing us what a supply shock looks like, when demand outweighs supply. There's not enough supply to go around and price can only go up to accommodate demand. As a result, price is up 165% off the bottom (at one point ~3x SOLs MC in inflows) this month. When projects prioritize shrinking supply and increasing demand, the potential for supply shocks go up. $ETH's shrinking supply was driven by whales and big players accumulating and holding. Demand increase was driven by institutions and treasury vehicles. That's hard to copy. But you don't need to. The question is: What drives the mechanics behind shrinking supply? Is it speculation? Or is it a more powerful/reliable source like: • A strong, stable, and growing revenue stream • A product with a growing customer/user-base • A time/battle-tested business model • All backed and verified with data/metrics Deflationary tokens driven by tried, tested, and consistent mechanics will win in the end. Shrinking supply while increasing demand for the token via buybacks, burns, and integration into the product is the way. The ICM sector has many such projects that are integrating tokens into successful revenues stream, products, and app ecosystems. Many are battle-tested. The market is asleep at the wheel. Currently, FTX/Alameda Staking still has 4,883,308.11 SOLs to be unlocked, worth about $799 million.
