What is TridentDAO (PSI)?
TridentDAO is a 2D MMO Metaverse GameFi that wants to create a novel experience for players worldwide. The game is on Arbitrum and was introduced in the first quarter of 2023 after raising $3 million. The team behind TridenDAO is Geyser Forge Studios, a group of self-proclaimed game experts.
At the time of writing, two games under development in the TridentDAO ecosystem are Trident MMO and Pet Battles, the latter of which is considered a mini-game. All games in TridentDAO will use a special algorithm known as Risk-to-Earn.
How TridentDAO (PSI) Works
TridentDAO states that the current state of GameFi is “disappointing, sorry, and [saddening]”, that’s why a new mechanism called Risk-to-Earn is created. Basically, upon entering the game, all players pledge a certain “fee”. When the result of the match is concluded, the winner receives all of the fees from participants minus the operation fee sent to the treasury. This mechanism is suggested as a more sustainable model for GameFi because it mimics the real zero-sum game that happens in real life.
