1.Mainstream Exchange Trends:

  • Binance, in collaboration with the Tajikistan government and TRM Labs, played a significant role in apprehending key members of the terrorist group Islamic State. Binance’s Head of Financial Crime Compliance, Tigran Gambaryan, stated that the investigation involved monitoring an ISIS-associated Telegram channel and subsequently identifying the crypto wallet address used by a terrorist leader to receive donations.
  • The Wall Street Journal reported that Binance has stopped offering P2P services to clients through sanctioned Russian banks.
  • OKX's Web3 wallet has partnered with NEO to jointly launch the Neo APAC Hackathon which will be held in Bangalore, India.

2.Cryptocurrency Trends:

  • A remote code execution vulnerability in certain versions of WPS For Windows has led to the theft of private keys for several BitBrowser users, resulting in losses amounting to at least US$410,000.
  • The next version of Chainlink Staking (v0.2) remains on schedule for Q4 launch later this year, with an initial expanded pool size of 45 million LINK tokens.
  • Yearn: (1) The community has begun voting on the "YFI Wintermute Loan and CRV Plan" proposal until August 31. 4.Regulatory Trends:

  • The Wall Street Journal reports that the US Treasury Department proposed new cryptocurrency tax regulations stipulating that starting in 2026, crypto exchanges must submit annual reports disclosing gross revenues.
  • Xiao Feng, chairman of HashKey Group, said that at the end of this year, the Hong Kong Securities Regulatory Commission may issue a regulatory notice concerning STOs.
  • The Hong Kong Monetary Authority is reportedly studying the establishment of a regulatory framework for a digital Hong Kong dollar and stablecoins.
