Thats why they called "tokens". Categories of blockchain tokens: - 1) Public Blockchain Network Native Tokens $BTC $ETH $SOL etc. - commodities. Public. Decentralized. No counterparties. New registration guideline required. They are not companies. There is no owner. They are publically owned and fall under GNU license for open source like Linux. Regulate under the Public Services commissions if anything to protect them. Own a Reserve of these to protect the public networks from foreign collusion. It is national security in 2025. They have no jurisdiction and exist all over the world on the public internet. - 2) Private Network Native Tokens - tokens issued by companies on their own blockchain network (counterparties) - these can be private or public but have a clear agreement between a company and a user. These are securities under Howey but probably on a case by case basis require a new S-1 process to register as public services or public investments per jurisdiction. - 2) Utility Tokens - Tokens that are issued on public blockchain networks that represent something of value or an agreement between 2 counterparties. These can be Security Tokens, which are digital S-1 obligations tokenized on the blockchain. They can be Access Tokens which holders get the right to pass a digital gate for entry into another area of functionality, access or entry in the physical world. These can be Collectible Tokens, that have no use, no meaning and are just something someone wants to own for emotional reasons.
