Paradigm co-founder Matt Huang: Buy Bitcoin at $200 or $300, once invested in ByteDance
Patrick O'Shaughnessy, the host of the well-known investment podcast Invest Like the Best, conducted a deep interview with Matt Huang, co-founder of the cryptocurrency investment firm Paradigm. He revealed that he once wrote a check to ByteDance with a valuation of 20-30 million US dollars, which was his largest personal investment at the time. With ByteDance now valued at 200-300 billion US dollars, his investment has increased by about 10,000 times, and he still holds the majority of the shares.
In addition, Matt Huang said that he bought Bitcoin at 200 or 300 US dollars, which then rose to 1000 US dollars, then dropped to 600 US dollars, and slowly started to decline from there. Eventually, he became fascinated with Bitcoin and strongly felt that it would be one of the most important technological and economic trends in the coming decades. He also revealed that the worst thing in Paradigm's history was investing in FTX, which ultimately turned out to be a scam.
