U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff Calls for Impeachment of Trump Due to Private Dinner Plans for TRUMP Major Holders

According to Cointelegraph, U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff stated at a town hall meeting on April 25 that he supports the impeachment of U.S. President Trump on the grounds that Trump plans to host a private dinner for major holders of his official meme coin, TRUMP.

According to NBC News, Jon Ossoff stated, "48 hours ago, I saw that he is arranging private meetings for those who purchase TRUMP. When a sitting U.S. President sells access in this form, it essentially amounts to accepting direct payments, which undoubtedly meets the standard for impeachment.

Jon Ossoff made his statement at a town hall meeting in Georgia, where he is running for re-election as a U.S. House Representative. He added that unless Democrats win control of the House in the 2026 U.S. midterm elections, the possibility of impeachment is low. Currently, Trump's Republican Party holds the majority in both the House and Senate.
