Musk: Will Continue to Advocate for Lower Tariffs, but Final Decision Rests with Trump
Jinse reported that Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated during Tesla's (TSLA.O) earnings call that he will continue to advocate for lower tariffs, but the decision on tariffs is entirely up to U.S. President Trump. Musk mentioned, "I will offer my advice to the President, he will listen to my opinions, but ultimately, he will make the decision on his own. I have repeatedly stated publicly that I believe lower tariffs are generally beneficial to prosperity, but this decision ultimately belongs to the elected President who represents the people. Therefore, I will continue to advocate for lowering tariffs rather than increasing them, but that's all I can do."
