Eliza Labs unveils $2.5 billion Auto.fun platform for AI agents

Eliza Labs has launched auto.fun, a no-code platform that enables users to create, deploy, and monetise autonomous AI agents across Web3 applications without programming knowledge.

The platform, announced on April 17, allows individuals to build AI agents that can interact with social media, DeFi applications, and other blockchain services through an intuitive interface.

“The vision for auto.fun is to democratise access to both AI and web3 technologies by creating agents that can execute tasks autonomously on behalf of users,” stated Shaw Walters, founder of Eliza Labs and the open-source elizaOS (valued at $2.5 billion).

These AI agents can perform various functions including automating yield farming strategies, managing social media accounts across platforms, and executing trading strategies.

“Find me staking opportunities with over 12% APY and automatically allocate the funds,” users can instruct their agents through simple commands, and the system will execute these tasks independently.

Auto.fun initially focuses on integration with X (formerly Twitter), with plans to expand to DeFi applications, blockchain games, and other Web3 services in the future.

The platform draws inspiration from pump.fun, which allows users to launch Solana-based (CRYPTO:SOL) memecoins with minimal effort, but applies the concept to AI agent creation.

“While the platform makes it possible for users to spin up agents in a few clicks, key educational prompts and user experience guardrails are embedded throughout the process to help users make informed choices,” an Eliza Labs spokesperson emphasised, noting that while the platform simplifies agent creation, it also incorporates educational elements.

Auto.fun also introduces what Eliza Labs calls a "fairer than fair" token launch mechanism, utilising bonding curves developed in collaboration with Raydium (CRYPTO:RAY).

This approach allows project teams to reserve up to 50% of their tokens before market listing while ensuring a more transparent distribution.

"What makes auto.fun particularly powerful is its open-source foundation," Walters added, highlighting that "unlike closed-source AI systems that lack transparency, our open-source approach ensures users can verify exactly how their agents operate and what happens with their data."
