Analysis: The US dollar and US bonds may rebound after the recent sell-off
In a report, Kaiyuan Macro Economist Jonas Gortman stated that after the so-called reciprocal tariffs of President Trump led to a sharp decline in the dollar and U.S. Treasury bonds recently, it seems that they will rebound in the next few months. He said that tariffs seem to have caused people to lose confidence in the United States as their currency and bond haven. However, the US economy may avoid a full recession, and the Federal Reserve will keep interest rates unchanged this year, making spreads favorable for dollars again. It is believed that turmoil in the bond market will be alleviated.
