Pennsylvania man pleads guilty to filing false tax returns related to CryptoPunks sales and could face six years in prison
"A man in Pennsylvania may face up to six years in prison after admitting to submitting false tax returns, concealing millions of dollars in CryptoPunks sales income. Waylon Wilcox, 45, admitted in federal court on April 9 that he underreported over $13 million in income from 97 CryptoPunks transactions in 2021 and 2022. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, the unreported income resulted in a tax loss of over $3.2 million."
