US SEC files new motion in Ripple lawsuit and says case is still under appeal
U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has filed a new motion opposing non-party Justin W. Keener's emergency request in the Ripple case to submit "decisive evidence" favorable to the defendant. The SEC argues that since the case has been moved to the second circuit court, the district court has lost jurisdiction and therefore cannot accept Keener's request. In addition, the SEC points out that Keener did not comply with proper legal procedures as he did not file a formal motion to intervene.
