Telegram Wallet Now Offers Zero-Fee USDT in 60+ Countries
- Telegram enables zero-fee USDT purchases in 60+ countries, boosting stablecoin adoption through its integrated wallet.
- Telegram mandates TON Connect for all mini apps, centralizing blockchain integration and enhancing ecosystem consistency.
Telegram wallet users in over 60 countries can now purchase USDT stablecoins without incurring any additional fees. This action not only simplifies access but is also supposed to increase stablecoin acceptance in other regions.
Telegram’s decision fits the growing demand for quick and reasonably priced cross-border digital transactions. Users may now get USDT on Telegram using Wallet without any deductions, only using a bank card. Given that several other platforms still charge rather large transaction fees, this is an antimainstream action.

Free Transactions, But Withdrawals Still Charged
Although purchasing USDT is now free of charge, users still have to take into account the fees when they want to make a withdrawal. Wallet charges a fee of 3.5 USDT for withdrawals via the Tron network and 1 USDT if using The Open Network ( TON ) network.
Even so, for users who only want to use USDT for transactions within the application or to send funds to fellow Telegram users, this facility is certainly a very attractive solution.
Imagine if earlier users had to consider extra costs every time they purchased digital assets; now, they can instantly obtain USDT free from these barriers. Moreover, this feature is intended to attract new users who are still reluctant to explore digital assets as Telegram’s growing reputation among the crypto community attracts.
Love, Prizes, and USDT: Telegram’s Valentine Campaign
Apart from the zero-fee USDT purchasing functionality upgrade, Telegram Wallet also honors Valentine’s Day in a unique way. They started a unique campaign including two pretty intriguing prize categories. One of them—every purchase of 14.02 USDT on February 14—will be automatically rounded up to 15 USDT. For those who utilize the occasion to improve their balance, this promo is a sort of nice surprise.
Furthermore, there is a photo contest called #LoveIsWallet. Users are welcome to submit pictures of their Valentine’s moments together with a 100 USDT grand prize. This approach seeks to boost user interaction as well as their loyalty to the Telegram Wallet service.
TON Becomes Telegram’s Exclusive Blockchain
Previously, CNF reported that TON has been designated as the only blockchain that can be used by mini applications on Telegram. This implies that as their wallet connection method, all micro apps now have to use TON Connect. This choice was taken to simplify and enhance blockchain integration inside the application.
Still, this approach was not instantly greeted favorably by all sides. Several mini-app developers voiced worries about limits on other blockchains that Telegram formerly also made available. They thought that this stage may restrict creativity and diversity of the crypto ecosystem inside the application.
Telegram is obviously not fooling about in its attempts to solidify its place in the crypto market. With this new approach, the company shows its dedication to being among the major players in global blockchain adoption.
Meanwhile, as of press time, The Open Network native token, TON, is swapped hands at about $3.83, up 1.36% over the last 24 hours, driving its market cap above the $9.5 billion mark.
