Cryptocurrency analysts have found that although some counterfeit tokens on the market are experiencing price increases, the number of active wallets per day has not increased. The attention of retail investors has declined, limiting the short-term price increase space for counterfeit coins and indicating that they are still in a "speculative" stage. Currently, it is still far from a general rise in the season of counterfeit coins. For example:

When Algorand (ALGO) token was priced at about $0.28 on February 10th, the daily active wallet address dropped to 182,000; whereas when ALGO hit its historical high point of $1.46 on December 20th, 2021, its active address count exceeded 1.31 million.

The daily active addresses for LINK network fell to 3,860 on February 10th; while when LINK reached its historical high point of $46.71 on May 3rd ,2021 there were over11,200.

Nansen research analyst Nicolai Sondergaard stated: "The season for counterfeit coins will come again but may take a different form than before. There are currently more tokens with stronger decentralization and although most prices have risen,the specific track and token gains will greatly exceed other sectors." (Cointelegraph)
