Dogwifhat responds to delays in Las Vegas Sphere campaign
Dogwifhat (CRYPTO:WIF), a Solana-based (CRYPTO:SOL) memecoin, has addressed concerns regarding delays in its initiative to display the token's logo on the Las Vegas Sphere.
The crowdfunding campaign, known as "Sphere Wif Hat," raised $700,000 shortly after its launch on March 10, 2024.
However, despite the initial success, the project has yet to materialise, leading to questions from supporters about the status of their contributions.
In a recent post on X, Dogwifhat clarified that the organisers have been negotiating with various parties to finalise the advertisement placement.
They emphasised that since the Wif team is not a corporate entity, they are collaborating with an established brand for this initiative.
The team stated that a timeline has been agreed upon by all involved parties, and if the advertisement does not run as planned, all donations will be refunded.
"There has been no intent to mislead any parties," they assured donors.
Despite a positive endorsement from SBI CEO Yoshitaka Kitao, who predicted XRP’s (CRYPTO:XRP) price could rise significantly if certain legal issues are resolved, Dogwifhat's token price has faced challenges.
After reaching an all-time high of $4.85 shortly after the fundraising campaign, WIF has since dropped nearly 77%.
Mihir, one of the campaign's organisers, had previously expressed confidence in the project's success and noted that discussions with Sphere representatives were ongoing to meet their advertising criteria.
However, the recent developments have left some supporters feeling uncertain about the project's future and questioning whether their investments will yield results.
At the time of reporting, the dogwifhat (WIF) price was $0.8698.
