Bitbase expands crypto ATM network across Argentina
Bitbase, a Spanish cryptocurrency ATM operator, is set to expand its network in Argentina.
The company aims to capitalise on the growing interest in cryptocurrencies within the country.
Having opened its first ATM in Buenos Aires last year, Bitbase plans to establish additional locations throughout 2025.
New ATMs will be installed in Cordoba and various areas of Buenos Aires, according to Bitbase Argentina CEO Nadia Karabin.
Karabin noted that the exact number of new ATMs is yet to be determined but emphasized the importance of providing accessible crypto services.
“For people unaware of crypto, it is the perfect gateway to the cryptocurrency industry,” she stated.
Bitbase’s ATMs are designed to facilitate both the purchase and sale of cryptocurrencies, enhancing user experience.
These bidirectional machines allow users to convert crypto into fiat currency while maintaining confidentiality during transactions.
“We support financial freedom and for this reason users can send their assets wherever they want from the ATM itself,” explained Karabin.
This expansion aligns with Bitbase's strategy to establish a strong presence in Latin America, following its entry into Paraguay in 2022.
As Argentina continues its economic recovery and adopts more investment-friendly policies, companies like Bitbase are increasingly drawn to the market.
