Grayscale updates altcoins in popular investment funds
Grayscale, one of the largest asset management companies, started 2025 with innovation. At this point, Grayscale, which innovated in altcoin funds, made significant changes in its multi-asset funds.
This change includes updates to several key funds, including those focused on AI, DeFi, and smart contract platforms.
Grayscale has updated the components of popular investment funds such as AI Fund, DeFi Fund, Digital Large Cap Fund, and Smart Contract Platform Ex-Ethereum Fund.
Livepeer (LPT) has been added to the portfolio following changes to the Grayscale AI Fund. The Grayscale AI Fund now includes Livepeer (LPT), The Graph (GRT), Filecoin (FIL), Bittensor (TAO), Render (RENDER), and NEAR Protocol (NEAR).
Graysacle DeFi Fund has removed Synthetix (SNX) and replaced it with Curve (CRV). Graysacle DeFi Fund now includes Curve (CRV), MakerDAO (MKR), Lido (LDO), Aave (AAVE), and Uniswap (UNI).
Grayscale Digital Large Cap Fund has drawn attention by removing Avalanche (AVAX) and adding Cardano (ADA) in its place. The fund now includes Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, and Cardano (ADA) after the change.
Finally, Sui (SUI) has been added to the Smart Contract Platform Ex-Ethereum Fund, expanding the portfolio. Accordingly, the fund now includes Polkadot (DOT), NEAR Protocol (NEAR), Avalanche (AVAX), Cardano (ADA), Solana (SOL), and Sui (SUI).
Grayscale said these changes are part of regular reviews to keep funds in line with market trends, as Grayscale regularly reviews its portfolios and makes adjustments to reflect the latest developments in the crypto space.
