In 2024, the cumulative trading volume of DEX futures contracts reached 285 billion US dollars, with Hyperliquid accounting for 78.8%
In December last year, the percentage of DEX futures contract trading volume to CEX trading volume hit a historical high, reaching 10.17%, marking a recent peak. This growth can be attributed to the adoption and increase of platforms such as Hyperliquid, Jupiter, ApeX, Satori Finance and Drift which have been growing in recent months. Throughout 2024, these DEXs' total trading volume increased by an average of 26.5% per month. By December, the cumulative trading volume reached $285 billion USD. Hyperliquid became the leader accounting for 78.8% of total DEX trading volumes with monthly transactions exceeding $225 million USD in December alone. Following closely behind Hyperliquid was Jupiter holding a market share of 9.8%, with transaction volumes exceeding $28 million USD in December.
