Media reports that Venezuelan bandits attempted to invade the United States before Trump's inauguration
News on January 1st, the New York Post reported that members of the Venezuelan criminal organization "Aragua Train" attempted to attack a US-Mexico border port in order to enter the United States before Trump's inauguration. Documents from Texas law enforcement officials state that criminals attacked with knives at transit points in El Paso, claiming they would attack border guards who stopped them.
Last week, 20 armed Venezuelan criminals tried to cross the border, and it is expected that the next attack by the "Aragua Train" gang will take place on January 1st. El Paso is considered their headquarters, where many members enter the United States. A retired Homeland Security Investigations agent stated that attempts to cross borders are closely related to Trump's upcoming inauguration and predicted an escalation in violent incidents at borders because criminals know circumstances will change after 27 days. Trump has previously expressed plans for mass deportations of illegal immigrants and made it a key issue during his campaign.
