Alabama Auditor Publicly Proposes Strategic Bitcoin Reserve

Andrew Sorrell, the auditor of Alabama, recently proposed the establishment of a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve (SBR). This proposal is based on the increasing interest of federal and state policymakers in SBR and the significant increase in bitcoin prices after the election of President Trump (who campaigned on supporting bitcoin policies). In addition, he stated that the establishment of SBR has three main goals: portfolio diversification, cryptocurrency-friendly positioning, and prevention of currency-related risks.
