Altos Ventures Closes $500 Million Fund to Explore Next Wave of Technological Innovations, including AI and Blockchain
According to a disclosure document from the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Altos Ventures has raised $500 million for its new fund, focusing on areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and blockchain, and supporting the next generation of technology disruptors. Altos Ventures has currently invested in over 250 companies, including over ten that have gone public or been acquired by public companies, with its portfolio including South Korean e-commerce giant Coupang and game platform Roblox, which is known as the "first stock of the metaverse." However, Altos Ventures has declined to comment on the fundraising situation of its new fund so far.
