Serotonin expands globally with new Hong Kong branch
Serotonin, a web3 firm, has announced its expansion into the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region with the launch of its Hong Kong-based marketing practice.
This marks Serotonin's first dedicated services operation in Asia, aimed at supporting both Eastern-originated projects entering global markets and Western web3 companies seeking to enter the APAC market.
The decision to expand follows 20 months of research involving feedback from 5,000 clients across 23 countries, indicating a growing demand for more advanced financial tools in the cryptocurrency space.
The new platform represents 20% of Serotonin’s overall marketing business.
As part of this initiative, Caroline York has been appointed as the APAC Marketing Director.
York brings over a decade of experience in brand strategy and marketing communications, having held positions at fintech firms such as Gusto Collective and AQUMON.
In her new role, she will assist clients navigating the complexities of the web3 landscape.
“The APAC region is capturing global attention for its growth in web3 activity and ambitious stated goals,” York stated. “With its diverse, young, tech-savvy populations and proactive regulatory frameworks, Asia is set to lead in the web3 landscape.”
Serotonin's platform includes features for yield generation, cryptocurrency-backed credit lines, and enhanced analytics, along with spending options via the Nexo Card.
Amanda Cassatt, Founder and CEO of Serotonin, emphasized the importance of adapting to industry trends: “Once we develop a thesis—such as our positive outlook on the APAC region—we act swiftly.”
With a global workforce of 90 team members across 15 countries, Serotonin aims to establish its presence in the financial sector while focusing on regulatory compliance and client services.
