Ledger Live Partners with THORChain for Cross-Chain Swaps
Ledger Live users can access cross-chain swaps via the "discover" page, enhancing crypto trading, exchange, and staking options.
Ledger Live has teamed up with decentralized finance protocol THORChain to offer native cross-chain swaps on its platform. This new feature allows users to swap assets across different blockchains, such as converting Bitcoin into Ether, directly from the Ledger Live app.
Announced on October 21, this is the first time Ledger has integrated a decentralized finance protocol for native swaps. THORChain enables users to swap assets across different blockchains without the need for wrapped tokens, making it more convenient and secure.
Users of Ledger Live can access this feature by going to the “discover” page within the app. This update enhances the app’s ability to trade, exchange, and stake cryptocurrencies directly from Ledger’s hardware wallets.
In addition to Ledger’s partnership, there are rumors that THORChain may soon integrate with Binance’s Web3 wallet, adding further utility to the platform. While this hasn’t been confirmed, THORChain’s founder hinted at exciting developments ahead.
This partnership follows THORChain’s recent collaboration with the Rujira Alliance, formed by the merger of projects Kujira, Fusion, Unstake, and Wink. The new alliance aims to build a powerful DeFi ecosystem that could one day rival major players like Solana.
With these integrations, Ledger Live is positioning itself as a more versatile platform for crypto users seeking secure and easy cross-chain transactions.
