Ripple Chief Legal Officer: XRP is not a security, just like Taylor Swift concert tickets
Ripple's Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty shared two pictures on X platform. One is a ticket to Taylor Swift's reputation tour at the Hard Rock Stadium, and the other is an engraved pearl with the words "XRP is not a security". He stated that "secondary markets like this ticket do not make it a security, just like trading cryptocurrencies, not every market is a securities market". XRP is not a security, just like Taylor Swift's concert ticket.
It is reported that many industry insiders, including Coinbase's Chief Legal Officer Paul Grewal, have also pointed out that Taylor Swift did not promote her tickets. Therefore, according to regulatory agencies, securities are assets that allow users to benefit from the efforts or promotions of others.
