CME Group plans to launch new Bitcoin futures product Bitcoin Friday futures on September 30

Odaily Planet Daily News: Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) announced that it plans to launch Bitcoin Friday futures (BFF) on September 30, 2024, providing a precise and flexible way to trade Bitcoin. Each BFF contract represents 1/50 of a Bitcoin, ensuring capital efficiency and accessibility.

It is reported that these shorter-term Bitcoin futures contracts will expire every Friday at 4 pm (Eastern Time) and will be settled based on the New York variant of the CME CF Bitcoin Reference Price, which may be closer to the spot price of Bitcoin.  

Cyprus regulator extends suspension of FTX EU license until September 30

Odaily Planet Daily reported that the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) has once again extended the suspension of the license of FTX (EU) Ltd, the local subsidiary of the now defunct cryptocurrency exchange FTX in Cyprus. The latest suspension will last until September 30, 2024. It is reported that the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission initially suspended the FTX EU license in November 2022 and has since extended the suspension several times. Although FTX EU has entered bankruptcy proceedings, the Cypriot regulator emphasized that as long as the license is suspended, the exchange cannot provide/conduct investment services/activities, conduct any commercial transactions with anyone and accept any new transactions.

Ethena: Season 2 airdrop claims will open on September 30

Polygon Labs: Eggfruit upgrade will be launched on the mainnet beta on September 30

Odaily Planet Daily reported that according to official news, the Polygon zkEVM testnet is about to usher in a new, higher-performance and more stable sequencer. This important technological breakthrough will not only benefit Polygon zkEVM developers and dApps, but will also have a profound impact on chains built with Polygon CDK. The upgrade named Eggfruit has been launched on the testnet today (September 20, 2024) and will be officially pushed to the mainnet beta version after a 10-day lock-up period, that is, on September 30.

The Eggfruit upgrade will be launched on the mainnet beta version on September 30 (18:30 Beijing time). During the upgrade, there will be about two hours of maintenance, during which the Polygon zkEVM beta version will suspend service.  

ZK Nation: Free commissioned transactions from now until September 30

Chromia will end the MVP phase on September 30 and then officially enter the mainnet phase
