The three major U.S. stock indexes rose twice in a row on a weekly basis
The three major U.S. stock indexes closed mixed, all recorded a weekly two consecutive gains. The Dow rose 0.09%, renewed record highs, this week's cumulative increase of 1.61%; S&P 500 index fell 0.19%, this week's cumulative increase of 1.36%; Nasdaq fell 0.36%, this week's cumulative increase of 1.49%. Large technology stocks were mixed, Tesla fell more than 2%, Nvidia fell more than 1%, Apple, Nifty, Microsoft fell slightly; Intel rose more than 3%, Google, Amazon, Meta rose slightly. FedEx fell more than 15 per cent, its biggest one-day drop in two years.
