CESS Announces the Launch of Venus Testnet to Build the Future of Decentralized Storage, CD²N and AI Synergy
CESS , a pioneer in the decentralized storage industry, proudly announced the official launch of the Venus Testnet on July 31, 2024. This milestone is an advancement in decentralized storage, CD²N (content decentralized delivery networks), and AI integration, setting new standards for data security, storage efficiency, and user experience in the Web3 ecosystem.
“Through continuous updates and optimizations, CESS has established a strong infrastructure position, addressing challenges in decentralized storage and CD²N,” said Nicholas Zaldastani, Chairman of CESS. “Setting industry standards is our contribution to the industry, advancing blockchain storage technologies toward maturity and broader applications. The launch of Venus Testnet underscores our dedication to pushing the boundaries of decentralized storage technology. We are excited to see how these innovations will drive industry standards and empower users with unparalleled data security and efficiency.”
The Venus Testnet brings tech innovations for storage nodes, including an optimized idle space proof algorithm that reduces the time needed for generating random challenge proofs, an enhanced idle data generation algorithm that cuts memory usage by 50%, and an improved idle data recovery algorithm that speeds up the recovery of lost idle data. Additionally, the introduction of multiple storage node deployment scripts facilitates efficient management of multiple nodes on a single device. The redundancy multiplier for user data has been increased from 1.5x to 3x, further ensuring data integrity and reliability.
For CESS-DeOSS, the testnet includes a large file breakpoint continuation feature and corresponding go SDK method implementation, a pluggable download cache module to enhance cache space utilization, a pluggable file storage scheduling module for improved user file storage efficiency, and a DeOSS proxy authorization feature in the SDK for batch initializing and gifting storage space.
CESS Testnet Venus offers a total reward of 60,000 points (equivalent to 6 million CESS tokens) for storage nodes, calculated based on their percentage of total mining rewards. For detailed reward rules and participation guidelines, visit CESS Faucet and CESS Substats .
