The Drift Foundation stated on the X platform that the DRIFT token is a component of governance and a key element in empowering the community to shape the future. The governance mechanism is gradually improving, and more information will be announced soon.
At the same time, users can deposit DRIFT in the following Solana ecosystem projects: Drift Protocol deposit (which will be recognized in future governance initiatives and plans), provide liquidity through the Meteora DLMM pool, Kamino's DRIFT-JitoSOL vault, marginfi, SolBlaze multiple liquidity pools, etc.
Earlier news, the DRIFT token airdrop application has been launched and is scheduled to end at 2:00 am on August 17.
