Zone raises $8.5 million in seed funding to expand its decentralized payments infrastructure
Payment infrastructure company Zone announced today that it has received $8.5 million in oversubscribed seed round financing, led by well-known venture capital firms Flourish Ventures and TLcom Capital. The company will continue to build blockchain-based decentralized payment infrastructure for financial service providers in Africa and other regions. The new funds will further expand Zone's domestic network coverage, connecting more banks and financial service companies. A large portion of the proceeds will also be used to launch a comprehensive pilot program in 2025 to test the company's cross-border capabilities.
