Ethereum’s latest ACDE conference: Dencun fork process is very smooth, Goerli testnet will be officially closed next month
Tim Beiko, a core developer of Ethereum, summarized the 183rd Ethereum core developer call (ACDE) and stated that the Dencun hard fork process went smoothly without any major issues. The participation rate briefly dropped from around 99% to 95% but quickly recovered after the fork, possibly due to some operators forgetting to upgrade. In addition, the Goerli testnet will be officially closed next month. Developers also discussed upcoming forks such as Pectra and EIP-3074. Regarding Pectra, @ralexstokes raised some design issues related to the EIP-2537 BLS precompilation, which is already included in the fork.
