IRCTC to Roll Out NFT Tickets for Holi Celebrations
Indian Railways' digital assets sector took a significant step as IRCTC announced the introduction of NFT tickets for two Tejas trains connecting Delhi and Lucknow, in celebration of Holi. The NFTs will feature intricate sketches showcasing the rich heritage of the two cities against vibrant backgrounds. Passengers of the Tejas trains numbered 82501 and 82502 will have access to these NFTs from March 20 until April 2, and IRCTC hinted at possible benefits of acquiring these tickets. Indian Railways has previously explored blockchain technology, offering NFT tickets for journeys to Ayodhya earlier this year.
