Breaking: As I narrated Trump wants to remove Powell. Because the Fed is not a government agency he would need "cause" to do so via a Congressional "criteria" which is arguable unconstitutional. Powell has put himself in this position and it is hurting the country. If he cuts rates it will appear political and if he doesnt it will appear political. This is exactly why this clause and the independance of the Fed is a problem. I posted last month about the request to the Federal Appeals Court to allow the sitting president to initiate a "for cause" removal of any agency head. IMO: Trump will remove Powell for intruding on the authority of the president.
